The Range Rover Vogue price in Kenya starts at about KES 13.5M for a compliant plug-in hybrid and climbs to KES 35M for a new-shape P530 Autobiography. That spread reflects two generations, several engines and very different trim levels. Therefore, the right choice depends on how you will use the car.
The full-size Range Rover is the flagship of Land Rover. In Kenya it is the car of boardrooms, embassies and Karen estates. However, it is also a complex machine, so buying the right unit matters more than with most cars.
This guide explains every version you can import in 2026, what each costs landed in Kenya and what it costs to run. Furthermore, it shows how Elisa Motors imports a Range Rover Vogue from the UK or Japan with one fixed price.

Why Kenyans still call it the "Vogue"
For years, Vogue was the main trim of the full-size Range Rover. As a result, Kenyans use "Vogue" for any big Range Rover, even an Autobiography. Land Rover dropped the Vogue name with the new L460 in 2022. Still, everyone from Nairobi dealers to Mombasa clearing agents uses it.
Range Rover Vogue by generation
L405 Range Rover (2019–2021)
The L405 is the fourth-generation Range Rover. It has an aluminium body, air suspension and a superbly quiet cabin. The Vogue 4.4 SDV8 lands at about KES 14M – 17M. Its V8 diesel is effortless on long trips to Nanyuki or Naivasha.
The Vogue P400e plug-in hybrid costs about KES 13.5M – 16M. It pairs a 2.0 petrol with an electric motor. However, its electric range is modest, so it suits short commutes best.
L460 Range Rover (2022 onwards)
The fifth-generation L460 is a big leap. It has cleaner styling, a far better cabin and rear-wheel steering. The D350 HSE lands at about KES 22M – 27M.
At the top, the P530 Autobiography V8 costs about KES 28M – 35M. Its twin-turbo V8 makes 530 hp. In fact, it is one of the most refined SUVs ever built.
Trims: Vogue, Vogue SE, Autobiography and SVAutobiography
Vogue and Vogue SE were the core L405 trims, with leather, air suspension and Meridian audio. Autobiography adds massage seats, premium leather and more standard kit. Moreover, Autobiography cars tend to be better optioned in UK stock.
The SVAutobiography is the ultimate version, often with a long wheelbase and executive rear seats. Similarly, the L460 offers SE, HSE, Autobiography, First Edition and SV. Each step up adds comfort and price.
Standard vs long-wheelbase (LWB)
The long-wheelbase Range Rover adds rear legroom. It suits owners who are driven, such as executives and diplomats in Gigiri and Runda. However, LWB cars are rarer and cost more.
The L460 LWB can also come with seven seats. That makes it a genuine family flagship. We source both standard and LWB versions to order.
What decides the price of a Range Rover Vogue?
First, generation. An L460 costs far more than an L405. Second, engine. V8s and new six-cylinder diesels carry different excise duty from 2.0 hybrids. Third, trim and options. An Autobiography with rear entertainment and a panoramic roof costs more than a base Vogue.
Fourth, KRA valuation. KRA taxes the car on its CRSP value, adjusted for age. Finally, condition and mileage. Read our KRA import duty guide to see how taxes are worked out.

Our services: Range Rover Vogue imports across Kenya
We manage the whole import, from UK or Japanese seller to your gate. Here is what Elisa Motors does for full-size Range Rover buyers.
1. Range Rover Vogue sourcing from the UK
The UK is the best market for full-size Range Rovers. Approved-used cars come with warranties, full histories and high specs. We search dealers and auctions for your exact year, engine and trim.
In addition, we check MOT records to confirm mileage. Read our UK Range Rover import guide for the full process.
2. Low-mileage Vogue sourcing from Japan
Japanese Range Rovers are rare but often immaculate. Owners drive little and service at dealers. Furthermore, auction sheets document the condition in detail.
We translate the sheet and arrange English conversion of the infotainment where needed. See our Japan import page.
3. Landed cost quotes for Nairobi buyers
Your quote includes the car, freight, insurance, KRA taxes, port charges, clearing and registration. As a result, there are no surprises at Mombasa.
We can compare an L405 SDV8 with an L460 D350, or a standard car with an LWB. You then decide with real numbers.
4. Expert inspection of complex systems
Full-size Range Rovers have many electronic systems. Therefore, we scan for fault codes and test the air suspension, rear-wheel steering, infotainment and climate control. We also check the underbody for corrosion.
Every car passes the KEBS-appointed roadworthiness inspection before shipping. Moreover, you see photos and video before we buy.
5. Secure shipping and Mombasa clearing
For high-value cars, container shipping adds protection. We quote both container and RoRo options. Read our RoRo vs container shipping guide to compare.
Our clearing team then handles KRA, KPA and verification at Kilindini Harbour. Subsequently, we register the car with NTSA.
6. Delivery to your home or office
We deliver to Nairobi areas including Karen, Runda, Muthaiga, Gigiri, Lavington, Kitisuru and Upper Hill. We also deliver to Kiambu, Limuru and Machakos.
Upcountry, we serve Nakuru, Naivasha, Nanyuki, Nyeri, Eldoret, Kisumu and Kericho. On the coast, we deliver to Mombasa, Nyali, Vipingo, Kilifi, Diani and Malindi.
7. Chauffeur, corporate and diplomatic orders
We handle orders for companies, embassies and chauffeur services. Multiple cars can share the same spec and service plan. In addition, we prepare the paperwork that corporate buyers and banks need.
Diplomatic buyers follow special rules. Read our guide to duty exemptions for an overview.
Range Rover Vogue running costs in Kenya
Fuel
The 4.4 SDV8 returns about 10–11 km/L on the highway. The L460 D350 six-cylinder diesel is more efficient. In contrast, the P530 V8 petrol uses far more fuel, especially in Nairobi traffic.
Servicing and parts
Plan for a service every 10,000–15,000 km at a Land Rover specialist. Parts are available, but genuine items are expensive. Air suspension, cooling components and electronics are the main risk areas on older cars.
A younger, low-mileage import reduces those risks considerably. Read our Range Rover maintenance guide for detail.
Insurance and security
Insurers price cover on the car's value and require an approved tracker. Smart-key theft is also a risk with modern luxury cars. Therefore, many owners fit signal-blocking key pouches and steering locks.
Range Rover Vogue vs rivals
The Mercedes S-Class is the saloon alternative for chauffeur use. The Mercedes GLS offers seven seats and similar luxury. Meanwhile, the Lexus LX and Land Cruiser 300 trade some refinement for rock-solid reliability.
The Range Rover Sport is smaller, sportier and cheaper. Read our Range Rover Sport price guide to compare.
Locally used vs fresh import Vogue
Locally used Vogues appear in Westlands and Mombasa Road showrooms. Some are excellent. However, many are older than 2019, with unclear service history. In fact, some older L322 and early L405 cars have been "upgraded" with newer bumpers and lights.
A fresh import gives you verified mileage, a known registration date and full records. Moreover, you choose the exact colour and options.
Range Rover Vogue buying checklist
First, confirm the registration date is 2019 or later. Second, match the mileage to the service book or MOT history. Third, test the air suspension at every height. Then scan for stored faults and check all screens and cameras.
Finally, check the tyres and brakes, which are costly on a heavy car. We run this checklist on every Range Rover we import.
Who buys a full-size Range Rover in Kenya?
The Vogue appeals to several types of buyer. Senior executives in Upper Hill and Westlands want a comfortable office on wheels. Similarly, diplomats and NGO directors in Gigiri value its presence and long-distance comfort.
Business owners in Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret also buy Vogues as status cars. In addition, many families choose the long-wheelbase version for weekend trips to Naivasha and the Mara. The ride is soft, and the cabin is quiet even on rough roads.
However, the Vogue is not the right car for everyone. If you need a tough workhorse for farm roads every day, a Land Cruiser costs less to run. Therefore, think honestly about how you will use the car.
Range Rover Vogue prices by year
A 2019 L405 Vogue sits at the lower end of importable prices. A 2020 or 2021 L405 often has the newer six-cylinder engines and more equipment, so it costs more. Then the 2022 L460 moves to a completely different price level.
The jump from L405 to L460 is large. However, the L460 is also a much newer design. It will remain importable for longer and should hold its value better. As a result, the extra spend can make sense if you keep cars for many years.
Remember that 2019 cars drop out of the import window in 2027. If you want the cheapest importable L405, now is the time.
Options worth paying for
The panoramic roof brightens the cabin and is popular in Kenya. Rear-seat entertainment suits families and chauffeur use. Moreover, massage seats and four-zone climate control make long trips more comfortable.
Adaptive cruise control and the 360-degree camera help in traffic and tight parking. In contrast, very large 22- or 23-inch wheels look good but ride harshly on potholes. We usually recommend 21-inch wheels or smaller for Kenyan roads.
First-year ownership tips
After delivery, book a full service and a software update at a Land Rover specialist. Then fit a tracker and a steering lock. Smart-key relay theft affects luxury cars worldwide, so a signal-blocking pouch for the key is a cheap safeguard.
Protect the paint with ceramic coating if the car parks outdoors. In addition, keep the air suspension healthy by driving regularly. Cars left parked for long periods can develop suspension and battery problems.
Vogue resale value in Kenya
Full-size Range Rovers lose value faster than Land Cruisers. However, a well-documented, low-mileage car still sells well in Nairobi. Diesel L405s and any L460 attract the strongest demand.
Lighter colours, sensible wheel sizes and a complete service file help most. In addition, cars with popular options, such as the panoramic roof, sell faster in Nairobi and Mombasa.
Similarly, a recent major service before sale reassures buyers.
