Mercedes-AMG G63 Price in Kenya (2026): Standard, Night Package, Brabus and Armoured G63 Costs in Nairobi and Mombasa

The G63 explained for Kenyan buyers: landed prices by year, special editions and Brabus builds, armoured options, running costs and how we import one with a fixed KES price.

Mercedes G63 AMG price in Kenya: Mercedes-Benz G-Class imported by Elisa Motors

The Mercedes G63 AMG price in Kenya sits at about KES 28M – 36M for a compliant, landed car. That figure covers shipping, KRA duty, clearing and registration. However, options, special editions and conversions can push it much higher. Therefore, two G63s on the same Westlands street can differ in value by millions of shillings.

The G63 is the most famous version of the Mercedes G-Class. Its 4.0-litre biturbo V8 makes 585 hp, and its side-exit exhausts are unmistakable. In fact, few cars draw as much attention on the Nairobi Expressway or outside Villa Rosa Kempinski.

This guide explains G63 prices by year, special editions, Brabus builds, armoured options and running costs. Furthermore, it shows how Elisa Motors imports a G63 from the UK or Japan with one fixed price in Kenya shillings.

What makes the G63 different?

The G63 adds AMG's 4.0 biturbo V8, a nine-speed gearbox, adaptive suspension and upgraded brakes. It also gets wider arches, AMG bumpers, side exhausts and bigger wheels. Inside, it adds sports seats, AMG trim and more luxury features.

Compared with the G400d at about KES 20M – 24M, the G63 is far faster and louder. However, it uses much more fuel and costs more to insure. Read our G-Wagon price guide for the full range.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class specifications by version

Here is how each Mercedes-Benz G-Class version we import compares. All of them seat 5, and you can import them from UK or Japan.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class G400d. This version uses a 2.9-litre diesel engine with 330 hp, a 9-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. In addition, it returns about 10 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 20M – 24M. Furthermore, compared with lower trims, it adds inline-6 diesel, three diff locks.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class G550 4.0 V8. This version uses a 4.0-litre petrol engine with 422 hp, a 9-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. Moreover, it returns about 7 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 22M – 26M.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class G63 AMG. This version uses a 4.0-litre petrol engine with 585 hp, a 9-speed amg speedshift gearbox and four-wheel drive. As a result, it returns about 7 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 28M – 36M. Furthermore, compared with lower trims, it adds AMG side exhausts, 22" wheels, AMG Night package.

Every Mercedes-Benz G-Class we import includes these key features: three locking differentials, ladder frame, G63 AMG V8, iconic design and luxury interior.

G63 prices by year

2019–2020 G63

Early W463A G63s are the cheapest importable versions. Many came with the AMG Night Package, carbon trim and 22-inch wheels. As a result, well-optioned early cars offer strong value.

2021–2023 G63

These years added small updates, more colour choices and refined infotainment. Prices sit in the middle of the range. Moreover, mileage is usually low on Japanese and UK cars from these years.

2024 onwards G63

The 2024 update brought mild-hybrid assistance, new screens and subtle styling changes. These cars cost the most. Still, they hold value very well.

Special editions and options

Edition 1

The G63 Edition 1 launched the new shape with special stripes, colour accents and 22-inch wheels. It is rare and collectable. Therefore, it carries a premium over a standard G63.

Night Package and carbon trim

The Night Package darkens the exterior trim. Carbon fibre trim adds a sporty touch inside. Both are popular and help resale value in Kenya.

Manufaktur paint and Magno finishes

Mercedes offers special paints, including matte "Magno" colours. They look stunning but need careful washing and are costly to repair. Consequently, many Kenyan owners choose a gloss colour or a protective wrap instead.

Brabus G63 in Kenya

Brabus is a German tuner that modifies G-Classes with more power, body kits and luxury interiors. Brabus versions cost far more than standard G63s. In addition, genuine Brabus cars come with documentation.

Be careful with "Brabus-styled" cars. Many standard G-Classes wear Brabus badges and body kits without the engine work. Therefore, ask for the Brabus certificate before paying a Brabus price.

Armoured G63 and bulletproof G-Class

Some clients need protection. Armoured G-Classes are built by specialist firms to certified protection levels. They are heavier, slower and much more expensive. Moreover, they need special tyres, brakes and servicing.

We source armoured vehicles on special order through specialist suppliers. Licensing and import rules may apply. Therefore, start the process early.

Upgrading an older G-Wagon to G63 look

Many older G-Classes in Kenya wear "G63" body kits, badges and side exhausts. That changes the look but not the engine, gearbox, brakes or chassis. As a result, an upgraded G55 or G350 is not a G63.

Always check the VIN, logbook and engine details before buying a local "G63". Read our G-Wagon maintenance guide for common issues on older cars.

Our services: G63 imports across Kenya

Elisa Motors handles every step of your G63 import. Here is what we do for buyers in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu and beyond.

1. G63 sourcing from the UK

The UK offers right-hand-drive G63s with full Mercedes dealer history. Many are certified pre-owned cars with warranties. We search for your year, colour and options.

Read our guide to importing German cars from the UK.

2. Low-mileage G63s from Japan

Japanese G63s often have very low mileage and spotless cabins. Auction sheets document their condition clearly. In addition, we translate each sheet for you.

Read our auction sheet guide.

3. Exact duty and landed price

We calculate duty for the exact G63 using KRA's CRSP schedule. Then we add freight, insurance, port charges, clearing and registration. Read our G-Wagon import duty guide.

You receive one figure in Kenya shillings.

4. VIN, history and spec verification

We verify the VIN, build specification, mileage and service history. That confirms it is a genuine G63 with the options claimed. Moreover, we check for accident repairs.

You see photos and video before we buy.

5. Container shipping for extra protection

For a G63, we often recommend container shipping. It protects the paint and wheels from weather and handling. However, RoRo is cheaper, so we quote both.

Read our shipping guide.

6. Clearing, registration and delivery

We clear the car at Mombasa, register it with NTSA and deliver it by covered carrier. We deliver to Karen, Runda, Muthaiga, Gigiri, Lavington and other Nairobi areas.

We also deliver to Nakuru, Naivasha, Nanyuki, Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nyali, Vipingo and Diani.

7. Finance, insurance and security

We provide documents for bank asset finance and connect you with insurers. Moreover, we advise on trackers, steering locks and secure parking.

Read our car finance and insurance guide.

Comparing a G63 and a G400d? We can quote both side by side. Use the order form, call +254 725 310 112 or WhatsApp +254 725 310 112.

G63 fuel consumption and running costs

The G63 returns roughly 5–7 km/L on the highway and less in Nairobi traffic. Therefore, fuel is a major running cost. Brakes and tyres are also expensive, especially on 22-inch wheels.

Plan for servicing at a Mercedes specialist or the authorised dealer. In addition, budget for insurance, which follows the car's high value. Read our G-Wagon maintenance guide for detail.

G63 vs rivals

The GLE 63 Coupe offers AMG power with a smoother ride. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo handles better on tarmac. Meanwhile, the Defender V8 offers a similar rugged image for less. The Lexus LX trades drama for reliability.

None match the G63's presence. However, all are easier to live with day to day.

Is the G63 practical in Kenya?

Surprisingly, yes. It has a ladder frame, three locking differentials and good ground clearance. It handles murram roads and Mara tracks well. However, its stiff AMG suspension and big wheels make potholes harsh. Many owners fit smaller wheels with taller tyres for comfort.

G63 resale value

The G63 holds its value strongly worldwide. In Kenya, well-kept black, white and grey cars sell fastest. Moreover, full dealer history and original paint add value. Wrapped or heavily modified cars can be harder to sell.

G63 buying checklist

First, confirm the first registration date is 2019 or later. Second, verify the VIN and engine code to confirm a genuine G63. Third, check the service history and mileage. Then inspect the paint depth, wheels and brakes.

Finally, test the differential locks, adaptive suspension and all electronics. We run this checklist on every G63 we import.

Who buys a G63 in Kenya?

G63 buyers are usually business owners, entertainers, sports stars and senior executives. For many, the car is part of their personal brand. Moreover, some buy a G63 as a weekend car alongside a practical daily driver such as a Land Cruiser or Range Rover.

Others buy for the driving experience. The V8's sound and power are addictive. However, those buyers should be ready for the running costs and the attention the car attracts.

G63 for weddings and events

G-Wagons are popular wedding and event cars in Nairobi, Mombasa and Naivasha. Some owners earn income by hiring their cars out with a driver. That can offset running costs. However, it also adds wear, insurance considerations and licensing requirements.

If you plan to hire out your G63, speak to your insurer first. Commercial use usually needs different cover. Similarly, check NTSA requirements for vehicles carrying paying passengers.

Popular G63 colours and specs in Kenya

Obsidian Black, Polar White and Selenite Grey are the most popular G63 colours. Black looks commanding but shows dust. White stays cooler and resells quickly. Meanwhile, grey hides dirt well on murram roads.

Popular specs include the AMG Night Package, carbon trim, Burmester audio and the sunroof. In contrast, very rare colours and bright interiors can take longer to sell. Therefore, choose a classic spec if resale matters to you.

Interior and sound upgrades

Many owners add ambient lighting, upgraded audio and custom upholstery. These are personal choices. However, poor-quality installations can cause electrical problems. Therefore, use reputable specialists and keep the original parts if possible.

First-year ownership tips

After delivery, book a service at a Mercedes specialist and fit an approved tracker. Keep the spare key at home in a signal-blocking pouch. In addition, protect the paint with ceramic coating or paint protection film, especially on matte finishes.

Check tyre pressures often on 22-inch wheels. Correct pressures reduce damage from potholes. Moreover, drive the car regularly, because long periods of standing can drain the battery.

G63 prices in Nairobi vs Mombasa

A direct import costs the same across Kenya. Only delivery from Mombasa differs. Showroom prices, however, include stocking costs and margin. As a result, a fresh import often costs less than a local G63 of the same year and spec.

The AMG alternative: GLE Coupe versions

Here is how each Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe version we import compares. All of them seat 5, and you can import them from UK or Japan.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe GLE400d 4MATIC Coupe. This version uses a 2.9-litre diesel engine with 330 hp, a 9-speed automatic gearbox and AWD. In addition, it returns about 13 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 12M – 14M.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe GLE53 AMG 4MATIC+ Coupe. This version uses a 3.0-litre petrol engine with 435 hp, a 9-speed automatic gearbox and AWD. Moreover, it returns about 10 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 13M – 15.5M.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe GLE63 S AMG Coupe. This version uses a 4.0-litre petrol engine with 612 hp, a 9-speed amg mct gearbox and AWD. As a result, it returns about 7 km/L and lands in Kenya at roughly KES 17M – 21M.

Every Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe we import includes these key features: coupe SUV, 4MATIC, AMG 53/63 options, air suspension and muscular design.

The GLE 63 S Coupe gives similar AMG power with a lower, sleeker body and a softer ride. However, it lacks the G63's off-road hardware and iconic shape. Therefore, buyers who mainly drive on tarmac in Nairobi sometimes prefer it. Read our Mercedes SUV price guide for every model.

Keeping your G63 secure

High-value cars attract thieves. Therefore, fit an approved tracker, use a steering lock and park in secure areas. Moreover, keep the keyless fob in a signal-blocking pouch at home. These simple steps also help with insurance.

Where we deliver

We serve buyers across Nairobi, including Karen, Runda, Muthaiga, Gigiri, Lavington, Kitisuru, Westlands and Upper Hill. We also serve Nakuru, Naivasha, Nanyuki, Eldoret and Kisumu. At the coast, we serve Mombasa, Nyali, Vipingo, Kilifi, Malindi and Diani.
